THIRD EYE PICKS OF THE WEEK: CLASSIC POPEYE ONGOING #1 — IDW really does some cool stuff, and their new POPEYE series, which is a total loving tribute to the old school E.C Segar stuff has us hooked.
So, when we saw that they were collaborating with the uber-talented Craig Yoe (the guy who brings us all those gorgeous hardcover editions of like zany 3D Comics, Christmas Comics, and more) to deliver these monthly reprints of legendary Popeye artist Bud Sagendorf, we thought it was pretty darn cool.
Totally impressive stuff, from the paper stock, to the coloring, to the textures, and more, this is a great reprinting of those classics!
