THIRD EYE PICKS OF THE WEEK: YOUNG AVENGERS #4 — Folks, I’m telling you, Kieron Gillen’s YOUNG AVENGERS series may be one of the best damn books you’re not yet reading. This is such a fun, and fresh title, we cannot give it enough props. In this week’s issue #4, HawkGuy’s protege, Kate Bishop, returns, and a lovely day trip to Central Park for a group of cheery youngsters is ruined by some seriously nasty bad dudes. Kieron Gillen works the same kind of clever storytelling magic he did in his Kid Loki run of JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY here, delivering the kind of fresh Marvel title that fans of series like SAGA, Fraction’s own HAWKEYE, and so on, would dig. NEW COMIC DAY TOMORROW, OUR PICKS: MORBIUS THE LIVING VAMPIRE #1 — Spinning out of the pages of the recent DYING WISH Superior Spider-Man arc, comes the brand new MORBIUS THE LIVING VAMPIRE series, and folks: it’s pretty damn awesome.  As part of the MARVEL NOW line-up, this new ongoing series features the misunderstood monster in all his glory, bringing a very fresh take to the world of MORBIUS. Somewhere inside Doctor Michael Morbius, there’s a good man who just needs a second chance, but his hunger for blood overrides that shot at redemption. The line between hero and villain is blurred in this kick-ass new series that compliments the events of SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN quite nicely. Snag yourself a copy tomorrow!
